CWC Bay Area
Media Team

Responsible for broadcasting the perfecting of the saints and operating in house audio, video, and lighting. In a world connected by the internet, digital evangelism is essential for reaching those who do not have a relationship with Jesus. The Media team is the perfect place to serve in the church if you have skills behind a screen and desire to further God's kingdom beyond the church doors.

Camera Operator

You've likely seen our camera operators on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. We have 3 cameras in the Sanctuary that capture the church service for our family watching from their homes and those who tune in for the first time. It's important that they can follow along without visual disruptions. Camera operators have to keep their subjects in frame and well framed for the entire service with proper camera brightness, focus, and zoom with the coordination and assistance of the camera switcher in their headset. Since they are positioned in the Sanctuary they are also the camera switcher's eyes and ears, updating them about any technical issues or social situations in the Sanctuary, and finding shots they can't see.

Camera Switcher

The camera switcher from inside the Media room coordinates with those on the cameras what shots they should capture and what the livestream sees. They control which camera's feed is live or when a video is live. There are times when service goes differently than planned or tech issues occur making the ability to be flexible and improvise key.

Lyrics & Slides

This operator is responsible for the timing of the lyrics and slides of the service. They listen to the worship songs ahead of time so they can be ready to click on the right lyric when the different sections of the songs draw near. This allows everyone in the Sanctuary and online to follow along and praise God without the flow of worship being disrupted. Speakers rely on slides appearing quickly not only to read, but for the effectiveness of their teaching.

Photographer

The photographer is everywhere, invisible, and respectful while capturing the theme of the service or event for social media use. Your eye for photography is of need in this house of God. The affect your photos can have on our presence on social media... a part of the invitation that brings someone to church and in result believing in the Son of God!

Social Media

Directly impacting the reach of our church, our social media presence is vital. We have much going on in our church community that many even in our church do not know about. Whether you make the posts, the graphics, or have the creative ideas behind them, you are evangelizing!

Audio

Audio is a crucial component for livestreaming our services. There are different voices and instruments with all kinds of volumes. The audio operator prevents the viewer from having to constantly adjust the volume or cringe at all the noise. The program we use is Logic Pro.

Viewer

A forever underrated position on the Media team, the viewer has all livestreams open and under their watch; Facebook, YouTube, and the CWC website. They take on the perspective of an actual viewer of the livestream. This allows everyone to have both hands and focus on their own tasks without worrying about the state of the livestream. The viewer makes known to the team any undesirable camera shots, brightness, focus, audio, etc.
